Our client, a leading designer and manufacturer of turbines and pumps, is seeking a Senior Buyer to join their team in Northern Sydney. The ideal candidate will be an experienced buyer/purchasing or procurement manager responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and managing the supply chain for specific product lines. This role will also involve a stronger focus on demand planning and Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP).

About the role
As a Senior Buyer within manufacturing, your responsibilities will be to:
- Control the purchase of all materials, parts and components
- Audit suppliers to ensure they are remaining compliant with the companies specifications
- Create & manage purchase orders to meet scheduled production
- Monitoring compliance with freight carriers
- Manage and analyse procurement data
- Follow all ISO policies & procedures, and the companies policies
To be successful, you will possess the following:
- 5+ years experience as a Senior Buyer/Purchasing Manager/Procurement Manager
- ERP experience, preferably in Oracle
- MRP Subject matter expertise
- Bachelors degree in Supply Chain, Purchasing or Operations is desired
- Experience in negotiating terms & conditions, long term agreements and pricing
- Skills including Project management, collaboration & multitasking
