As part of this initiative, they seek a Commercial Financial Analyst who is eager to advance their career.
Reporting to the GM of Commercial & Finance, this role requires a detail-oriented Commercial Financial Analyst to join their commercial & finance team. The ideal candidate will have strong financial acumen and the ability to analyse data to provide insights that drive business decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct financial analysis to support commercial decision-making processes.
- Execute monthly sales and gross profit reporting and analysis by customers, segment managers, account managers, and product groups to track business performance.
- Manage customer assignments to account managers, complete account assignment changes in the ERP system, and execute quarterly sales commission calculations.
- Prepare fortnightly Sales Pipeline reports.
- Maintained the facility lease register, reviewed all facility invoicing, supported the annual insurance review on leases, verified rate increases, and assisted in the preparation work on lease renewals.
- Collaborate with operational team members to prepare new Capital Expenditure request forms, ensuring compliance with requirements, obtaining valid quotes, and calculating returns on investment/payback periods.
- Liaise with and support account managers in executing customer blanket orders, ensuring that all agreements result in a profitable outcome.
- Assist in data gathering and financial modelling for ad-hoc operational projects.
Skills & Qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field;
- Proven experience in a commercial analysis or financial modelling role, ideally within a manufacturing or distribution environment
- Strong proficiency in financial modelling, analysis, and forecasting.
- Excellent knowledge of financial software and tools (e.g. Excel, ERP systems).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
