About the role
As a Maintenance Fitter, you will be responsible for the following:
- Carry out preventative and reactive maintenance to ensure minimal downtime
- Identify and suggest improvements to plant and equipment to enhance efficiency, yield and safety
- Actively engage in continuous improvement initiative and 5S practices
- Document all maintenance records in an organized manner
- Collaborate in cross-functional projects to support colleagues with plant modifications or new installations
To be successful, you will possess the following:
- Trade qualified as a Mechanical Fitter (dual trade highly regarded)
- Minimum 5 years experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment
- Excellent diagnostic and fault finding skills
- Exposure to or experience with Lean and Six Sigma principles
- Exposure to robotic systems (desirable not essential)
- Experience in computerized maintenance management systems (SAP) (desirable not essential)
