Our client is a tier 1 company who you will certainly be familiar with, they specialize in the design, development and manufacture of electrical and electronic equipment. They work across a variety of industries such as transport, automation and energy solutions. They are looking for a new Electrical Test Technician to join their team at the factory site in Rydalmere to inspect, test, troubleshoot and repair a variety of railway electrical equipment.

About the role:

As an Electrical Test Technician, you will be responsible for the following:

· Test equipment and record results as required

· High Voltage Testing

· Carry out wiring

· Soldering and crimping

· Operating an electric walkie reach truck

· Monday - Friday

To be successful, you will possess the following:

· Experience working with 1500 volt static inverters, Variable voltage variable frequency (VVVF) speed controllers, 100 - 250KV Gas Filled Circuit Breakers and sensitive control equipment

· 5 years' experience in the electrical trade industries

· Familiarity with testing heavy electrical equipment, preferably rail, aviation, aerospace or similar

· HV Testing experience (preferred)

· Strong soldering and crimping skills

· Tertiary qualifications in Electrotechnology or a related discipline
