Our client are a well-established facility dedicated to providing high-quality care and support to elderly residents. Located in Punchbowl, this center offers a range of services tailored to meet the diverse needs of its residents.
We are seeking a dedicated Leisure and Lifestyle Coordinator to join our client's team. This role is crucial in leading and implementing recreational activities that bring joy and enrichment to our residents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Organize and manage a diverse calendar of events, activities, and transportation within the facility.
- Conduct resident focus groups to gather feedback and tailor activities to their preferences.
- Ensure all activities are executed on time and meet the needs of the residents.
- Develop, review, and maintain assessment care plans for each resident.
- Coordinate and conduct daily activities, including assisting with toileting, feeding, and other care needs when required.
- Maintain high standards of infection control and complete all necessary risk assessments and documentation.
- Report incidents promptly and accurately, ensuring all practices align with facility policies and procedures.
- Participate in ongoing training, including mandatory sessions and competencies.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent qualifications in Leisure and Lifestyle.
- Experience in a similar role, with a strong background in organizing and managing recreational activities in a care environment.
- Knowledge of end-to-end employment relations processes is essential.
Skills and Competencies:
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
- Bilingual in English and Greek (preferable)
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- A positive and professional approach to change and team collaboration.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Personal Attributes:
- Confident and professional demeanor.
- A proactive, positive approach to work and change.
- Ability to think strategically and apply knowledge in a practical, commercial manner.
Other Requirements:
- A clean police check is essential.
