We're seeking a motivated Field Service Engineer to join our client's dynamic team in Alice Springs. The ideal candidate will hold a degree or advanced diploma in Electronics/Biomedical Engineering or a related field, with strong knowledge of electro-mechanical equipment. Responsibilities include performing corrective servicing, preventative maintenance, and timely repairs on various medical equipment. This role requires hands-on skills, self-motivation, and the ability to deliver top-notch customer service independently.

About the role
As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for the following:
- Perform corrective and preventive maintenance on equipment, ensuring professionalism and customer satisfaction.
- Resolve equipment issues on time, provide technical support remotely or on-site, and generate repair quotes.
- Maintain accurate service records, assess warranty claims, and evaluate product performance for improvements.
- Calibrate test equipment, inspect demonstration products, and assist in quality audits.
- Adhere to company policies, safety standards, and maintain tools and equipment.
- Travel domestically, be available for after-hours work, and provide technical product training.
To be successful, you will possess the following:
- Hold a degree or Advanced Diploma in Electronics/Biomedical Engineering (recent graduates encouraged), with technical experience in electro-mechanical and/or electrical fields.
- Previous healthcare industry experience and familiarity with AS3551 servicing standards are highly desirable.
- Possess necessary certifications for working in public places and the health field, and a full, clean driver's license.
- Proficient in electro-mechanical fault-finding, with a hands-on, self-motivated approach and commitment to customer satisfaction.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team under pressure.
- Committed to relationship-building with clients, adhering to policies, and willingness to comply with vaccination requirements for site access.
