About the role
As an Automotive Spray Painter/Body Builder you will be responsible for the following:
- Prepare surface and parts by removing any old paint, rust and dirt for painting
- Using a spray gun, apply rust proof undercoats and primers
- Utilize 2K Paints and B.C metallics
- Panel beating (removing dents)
- Removal of damaged panels and parts
- Mix paints to match pain shades
To be successful, you will possess the following:
- Certificate III in Automotive Refinishing Technology (AUR32420) or equivalent
- Previous experience as an automotive spray painter and panel beater with heavy vehicles
- Experience assessing damaged vehicles
- Be able to pass a Drug and Alcohol Test + Medical
- MR license (preferred)
- Experience in a vehicle manufacturing environment (preferred)
